Dion Russell

Dion is on the board at Oceania Gymnastics Union. He joined OGU in August 2024 with a goal to work alongside all member federations to grow the sport across the Oceania region.

Dion has over 20 years of experience in sport policy, governance, integrity and government relations. He provides advice on sport and health policy in the context of the Australian Government’s political agenda and strategic priorities.

His involvement in sport has also included representing Australia in athletics over a 10-year period. Dion continues to be involved in community sport level, in addition to being a Board Member at Gymnastics Australia.
