Young gymnasts invited to design an Oceania inspired leotard

In the lead up to the upcoming Oceania Artistic Gymnastics Championships, the Oceania Gymnastics Union has launched a Design a Leotard Competition for gymnasts aged 5 to 14 from across the Oceania region with thanks to Sylvia P Teamwear.
Young gymnasts are invited to design an Oceania inspired leotard that reflects what the region means to them.
Designs might draw on culture, connection to land and ocean, strength, movement or pride in representing their nation within Oceania.
How the competition works
There are two ways to be recognised in the competition.
Walk-Out Experience at the 2026 Artistic Gymnastics Oceania Championships*
Gymnasts who are based in Australia, or able to attend the Championships on 9 May 2026 in Brisbane, Australia, will be selected to:
Walk Senior International athletes onto the field of play
Be recognised during the event
Receive a commemorative Oceania gift pack
Regional Recognition Awards
To ensure gymnasts across the region can take part, 10 outstanding designs from across Oceania will also be recognised.
Selected entries will receive:
An Oceania prize pack
A digital certificate of recognition
All submitted designs will be showcased across the OGU website and social media channels.
To take part, download the leotard template (available for both Men's and Women's designs) and submit your entry by Sunday 12 April 2026.

Please note parent or guardian permission is required for entry.
*Travel costs to and from the event are the responsibility of the participant and their family. Each winning design will receive a family ticket (up to four people) to attend the Championships.
