Alicia Tan leads early results at Oceania Rhythmic Gymnastics Championships

The Oceania Rhythmic Gymnastics Championships are underway in Tshwane, South Africa, with strong early performances across the senior individual and group competitions.

Day 1 saw Australia’s Alicia Tan led the field in Senior Hoop with a score of 25.800, finishing ahead of New Zealand’s Havana Hopman on 25.050. Australia’s Sofia Hemmings placed third with 24.550.

Tan continued her form in the ball, again taking top position with 24.850, Hemmings followed closely in second on 24.500, with Hopman third on 23.500.

In Senior Group 5 balls, the Australian team of Isabella Wang, Aggie Fan, Joselyn Cheung, Victoria Wei and Alina Yu recorded a score of 20.000 to take first place.

Day 2 will see Senior’s compete in Clubs and Ribbon and Group competing 3 Hoops & 2 Clubs.
