Brisbane locked in for 2026 Artistic Continental Championships

The Oceania Gymnastics Union is thrilled to announce that the 2026 Artistic Gymnastics Continental Championships will be hosted by Gymnastics Queensland at the Sleeman Sports Complex in Brisbane on the 9 May 2026.  


Results from the event will count toward team qualification for the 2026 World Championships in Rotterdam, making it an important event for our Oceania athletes as they start the process of qualifying for the LA2028 Olympics. The Championships will bring together athletes, coaches and officials from across the region to Brisbane. 


“This Championship is a really significant event for our Artistic gymnasts,” said Alice Stooke, Secretary General of OGU. “With a team position for the 2026 World Championships on the line, and the LA 2028 cycle beginning to build momentum, this event provides our athletes with timely international competition experience as they work towards these benchmark events.  


“We’re grateful to Gymnastics Queensland for hosting us and we’re excited to bring the region together for a wonderful Championship.”
