Pesaro sets the stage for Acrobatic World Championships

The world’s best Acrobatic gymnasts have arrived in Pesaro, Italy, with the 30th Acrobatic Gymnastics World Championships beginning today.

Among them will be a 10-strong Australian team representing the Oceania region across four days of competition from 24–27 September.

Representing Australia will be Petra Janda, Elise Tran-Dinh, Liam Machado, Elyssa Warden-Hutton, Madeline Egan, Soleil Machado, Holly Thornton, Kiara Pike, Sophie Temple and Kyla Santos.

The team will be supported by coaches Agnes Sajgal, Mackenzie Levin and Mel Presti.

The World Championships bring together the leading Acrobatic gymnasts from around the world, with athletes competing across Men’s, Women’s and Mixed Pairs, as well as Women’s and Men’s Groups.

Competition begins today and continues through to Sunday, 27 September.
