World Championship titles on the line in Pamplona

Athletes from Oceania will take to the world stage this week, with Australia represented by a 10-strong team at the 19th Aerobic Gymnastics World Championships in Pamplona, Spain.

The three-day Championships will run from 11–13 September at Navarra Arena, bringing together athletes from 38 nations to compete for eight world titles.

Representing Australia will be Amelia O'Neill, Isabella O'Neill, Amber Pavendranathan, Carissa Uno, MacKenzie Manev, Chloe Holmes, Estelle McLeod, Jessica Cronin, Lindsay Ang and Zoe Yates.

The Australian contingent will compete across Individual Women, Trio, Group and Aerobic Dance, with Mercedes McIntyre and Balazs Farkas accompanying the team as coaches.

Australia will also be represented among the officials, with Deborah Greenbaum attending the Championships as a judge.

The World Championships are held every two years and represent the highest level of international competition in Aerobic Gymnastics.

Competition begins on Friday with qualifications, with the top eight in each category progressing to the medal rounds across the final two days.
